CODE OF CONDUCT
Reclaim Power Code of Conduct
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to cultivate an accountable, courageous, and compassionate space. Together, we commit to deepening our understanding of ourselves and one another, practicing greater mindfulness in how we move through the world, and honoring that each of us is on a unique journey of growth and reclamation.
These agreements apply to all participants, including facilitators.
Commitment & Participation
Your success in the Reclaim Power program is directly connected to your level of engagement.
Commit to attending weekly virtual meetings on Tuesdays from 12–2pm ET.
Schedule and attend 1:1 meetings as required by the program.
Make a good-faith effort to complete assigned practices or reflections between sessions. Growth happens between meetings, not just during them.
Presence & Engagement
Please keep your camera on during sessions unless there is an extenuating circumstance, which should be communicated in advance.
Arrive as present and prepared as possible—minimize multitasking and distractions.
Participate to the fullest of your ability. Your voice matters, and your contributions impact the collective experience.
You are encouraged to raise your hand, unmute, or use the chat to share.
Communication & Accountability
Communication is essential. Please notify the group or facilitator of absences, lateness, or emergencies as soon as possible.
If harm, misunderstanding, or tension arises, we encourage direct, respectful communication and repair rather than withdrawal or avoidance.
Respectful Dialogue & Growth
Practice compassionate curiosity—especially when challenging one another.
Focus on ideas, behaviors, and systems rather than personal attacks.
We emphasize calling in rather than calling out, supporting learning and accountability without shame.
Use “I” statements and speak from your own lived experience rather than generalizing with “we,” “they,” or “us.”
Equity, Power & Responsibility
Our community is international and diverse. We prioritize the safety and comfort of BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+, and Disabled folx in our facilitation.
No one from an equity-seeking group is expected to educate others, share personal trauma, or represent an entire community.
Participants with more social power are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and to listen deeply.
Confidentiality & Consent
Sessions may be recorded for accountability and/or training purposes by Reclaim Power.
Participants may not record, screenshot, or share session content or chat discussions.
What is shared in the group stays in the group. Please honor the vulnerability of others by maintaining confidentiality.
Accessibility & Care
We encourage participants to name their needs, including access needs, boundaries, or capacity limits.
Facilitators will make reasonable efforts to support accessibility when needs are communicated in advance.
Humility, Repair & Growth
Practice humility. We all make mistakes.
If harm occurs, we expect participants to take accountability, apologize when necessary, and engage in repair.
Feedback is part of the growth process and may be offered with care and received with openness.
Boundaries & Safety
Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
Reclaim Power reserves the right to address breaches of this Code of Conduct, which may include restorative processes, additional support, or removal from the program if necessary.
*Disclaimer: For the best results, commitment and consistency are key. However, we do not guarantee outcomes in the program.
