*The Reclaim Power code of conduct:
The goal of this Code of Conduct is to facilitate an accountable space. so that we may gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and each other, and to become more mindful with how we operate in the world, knowing we are on our own unique journeys. These rules apply to everyone in the group, according the facilitator.
Have video on unless there is an extenuating circumstance that is communicated in advance.
Commit to weekly virtual meetings Tuesdays 12-2pm ET and to showing up to 1:1 meetings promptly.
Communication is key. Please communicate any absences or emergencies to the group.
Participate to the fullest of your ability because your voice is consequential. Please feel free to raise hand, unmute, or share in the chat.
Do not be afraid to respectfully challenge one another by applying compassionate curiosity. Please focus on ideas and practice calling in vs. calling out.
Confidentiality - sessions may be recorded for accountability and/or training purposes, however we ask nobody screenshots, records or saves the chat.
Our community is international and diverse. Practice using "I" statements rather than referring to "we," "they" or "us."
We prioritize the comfort of BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+ and Disabled folx in our facilitation and do not expect anyone from an equity-seeking group to carry the burden of educating others in the group by way of illustrating their experiences or expounding their trauma.
If you're feeling triggered, take deep breaths, write down what you're feeling. Sit with and observe the feelings. We will make space after the class to decompress if needed.
Practice humility. Name your needs. Apologize/ take accountability when necessary.
